Single-silver Low-E coated glass usually contains only one functional layer (silver layer), plus other metal and compound layers, the total number of film layers reaches 5 layers. Excellent thermal performance The heat loss of external doors and windows is the main part of the building's energy consumption, accounting for more than 50% of the building's energy consumption. Relevant research data show that the heat transfer on the inner surface of glass is dominated by radiation, accounting for 58%. This means that the most effective way to reduce the loss of heat energy by changing the performance of the glass is to suppress the radiation on the inner surface. The emissivity of ordinary float glass is as high as 0.84, when it is coated with a low-emissivity film based on silver, its emissivity can be reduced to below 0.15. Therefore, the use of single Low-E glass to manufacture building doors and windows can greatly reduce the transmission of indoor heat energy caused by radiation to the outdoors, and achieve an ideal energy-saving effect. Another significant benefit brought by the reduction of indoor heat loss is environmental protection.
